To my heavenly bass brother Harry. You already know that you're missed in our household. The news of your passing was truly something I was not prepared to hear. Over the years our friendship grew closer and stronger. I have not been able to rest or go a minute of my day without thinking about all the times we spent hanging out together. From backstage at various shows to the streets of New York. All of our phone conversations have been playing throughout the day in my mind just like it was yesterday. I'll never forget a part of one of our interviews when you stated that you wanted me to fill in for you with the Tempts while you filled in for me on my radio show The Love Zone. Doing The Love Zone was just one of your many unfulfilled dreams. Harry, you'll always be known as one cool brother to me. Melvin was my main man, but you respectfully earned your place on my shelf of "World Class Bass Singers." Your smiles and playful laughter on and off stage will always be forever embedded in my soul.
Rest in peace my brother, rest in peace. Sunrise:January 19, 1950 Sunset: April 3, 2006
"Our deepest condolence to the Family of Harry “Boom Boom” McGilberry. We are devastated at the loss of a wonderful performer and human being. He was like family to us, as we saw and spoke to him so many times at countless Temptation performances. His passing has come as a great shock and has left an indelible void. We will miss his voice and that wonderful smile. “Óld Man RiverR21; will never sound the same….Rest in peace, our good friend, and may God always hold you in the palm of His hand."

"My deepest condolences to the family and dear friends of Hary McGilberry, the latest member of the very quintessential Temptations, one of my all time favorite group. The Temptations was and is still a very influencing and sentimental group and will certainly miss you Harry. Also remembering the other members who passed on before leaving a legacy of great music behind."
