In Memory of Harry "Boom Boom" McGilberry

To my heavenly bass brother Harry. You already know that you're missed in our household. The news of your passing was truly something I was not prepared to hear. Over the years our friendship grew closer and stronger. I have not been able to rest or go a minute of my day without thinking about all the times we spent hanging out together. From backstage at various shows to the streets of New York. All of our phone conversations have been playing throughout the day in my mind just like it was yesterday. I'll never forget a part of one of our interviews when you stated that you wanted me to fill in for you with the Tempts while you filled in for me on my radio show The Love Zone. Doing The Love Zone was just one of your many unfulfilled dreams. Harry, you'll always be known as one cool brother to me. Melvin was my main man, but you respectfully earned your place on my shelf of "World Class Bass Singers." Your smiles and playful laughter on and off stage will always be forever embedded in my soul.

Rest in peace my brother, rest in peace.

To the family of Brother Harry, God always has the best plan for our lives and of course I never had the chance to meet him personally but I know that he was loved around the world. I have been a loyal Temptation’s fan since I was 10 years old and, I’m 52 now. Harry was the closest thing that we will ever have to Melvin and now they are comparing notes with Paul, David and Eddie. Stay encouraged and May God give you joy in your heart and peace in your mind. Sincerely."

"I was so sadened to hear of the passing of Harry. I can see him so clearly on stage the last time I saw The Temptations at the Wolfe Trap in Virginia. Not only was he handsome, he also had a voice that could stop time. He is in a better place now and he can sing among the Angels. I will forever be a fan of The Temptations. We will miss you Harry, but we will see you later."

"Harry, You have been in my thoughts everyday since I heard of your passing. I first met you in 2000 when I seen The
Temptations for the very first time at the age of 12. I always sat front row center at every concert in Tunica Mississippi at the Grand. Security would always make sure I got back to see you guys every time. Being in a wheelchair I was not able to dance with me feet at the shows, but I was backstage once and you taught me the hand motions to just my Imagination. As I watched the show that night you watched me to see if I remembered the steps, and I did! You were always nice to me, and asked how things had been since the last time I seen you guys. Your voice just blew me away. We lost one great bass singer, but you will always be in my heart! Thanks for the good times and wonderful
memories. Every time I hear Just My Imagination I will think of you. God Bless you!"
