To my heavenly bass brother Harry. You already know that you're missed in our household. The news of your passing was truly something I was not prepared to hear. Over the years our friendship grew closer and stronger. I have not been able to rest or go a minute of my day without thinking about all the times we spent hanging out together. From backstage at various shows to the streets of New York. All of our phone conversations have been playing throughout the day in my mind just like it was yesterday. I'll never forget a part of one of our interviews when you stated that you wanted me to fill in for you with the Tempts while you filled in for me on my radio show The Love Zone. Doing The Love Zone was just one of your many unfulfilled dreams. Harry, you'll always be known as one cool brother to me. Melvin was my main man, but you respectfully earned your place on my shelf of "World Class Bass Singers." Your smiles and playful laughter on and off stage will always be forever embedded in my soul.
Rest in peace my brother, rest in peace. Sunrise:January 19, 1950 Sunset: April 3, 2006
"To the Family of Harry McGilberry I'm saddened to hear the news about the passing of our Brother Harry. I've been a fan of the Temptations for many years. I've also had the chance to meet the fella's and hang out backstage with them at several shows. It's my feeling that once a Temptations, you will always be a Temptation. Brother Harry rest in peace."

"I was sadden to hear of the passing of Harry (Berry) McGilberry Jr. I have followed the temptations for years I was born in 1961. My heartfelt goes out to his family and his grandchildren that he loved so much and to the original temptations Otis Williams. I just lost my Dad recently, his service was on the day Mr. Berry passed April 3, 2006, and again I send out my prayers and blessing to the family."

"Uncle Harry, The world has lost a great talent and our family has lost a father, son, brother, uncle, husband, and friend. You were always bigger than life, from the big Caddie you drove in the eighties to your performances on stage throughout the years. With your booming voice and your commanding presence, you were and still are a large part of this family. At the funeral for your mother and my grandmother, you sang the Eric Clapton song "Tears in Heaven." You asked the questions: "Would you know my name” and "Would you hold my hand?" if I saw you in heaven. Both questions have been answered since you have been reunited with her and rest in her good hands. Go in peace my good uncle"
