To my heavenly bass brother Harry. You already know that you're missed in our household. The news of your passing was truly something I was not prepared to hear. Over the years our friendship grew closer and stronger. I have not been able to rest or go a minute of my day without thinking about all the times we spent hanging out together. From backstage at various shows to the streets of New York. All of our phone conversations have been playing throughout the day in my mind just like it was yesterday. I'll never forget a part of one of our interviews when you stated that you wanted me to fill in for you with the Tempts while you filled in for me on my radio show The Love Zone. Doing The Love Zone was just one of your many unfulfilled dreams. Harry, you'll always be known as one cool brother to me. Melvin was my main man, but you respectfully earned your place on my shelf of "World Class Bass Singers." Your smiles and playful laughter on and off stage will always be forever embedded in my soul.
Rest in peace my brother, rest in peace. Sunrise:January 19, 1950 Sunset: April 3, 2006
"Love and Comfort to the family. Rest in Peace Harry!."

"To: The McGilberry Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. We have truly lost a talented human being. As a Tempts fan, I know how much I loved watching him on stage, so I can only imagine the pain you all must feel right now. I loved watching Harry sing Ole'Man River and clowning on the stage. But rely on your God to see you though. He will never let you down. To his children and grand's stay strong!."

"To the Berry Family: You have my deepest condolences. In every beginning, there is an ending. That is the equation to life. We pass through this world in order to move on up a little higher to that city where tears and sorrow are nonexistent. And one day is equivalent to ten thousand years. Continue to keep your spirits anchored in the hands of the Creator, because God KInows best. He will not put upon you more than you can bear."

I never saw Brother Harry perform in person, but I do have him and the rest of the Tempts on video when they performed in Aruba in one of Sinbad's old school shows. He was a classic performer and he will be a Temptation forever. May God comfort his wife and family as they go through the loss of Harry."
